Call for registration (deadline: Oct. 20, 2024)

The organisers of the HCAIM programme will again organise the Erasmus Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) this academic year, which will again be a one-week programme in Utrecht, The Netherlands, from 27 to 31 January 2025, with students from many countries, preceded by an online preparation phase from 28 November 2024 to Mid January 2025.

Participation in the BIP is not conditional on having attended the HCAIM course, any BME student interested in the human aspects of AI can apply. The Erasmus programme will support the participation, students will receive a lump sum payment for travel and per diem as usual, with accommodation organised by the host HU Utrecht. Participation can be recognised as a BME credit (3 credits).

The aim of the programme is to make advances in a human-centred AI topic in research questions of the students' choice. This can be part of a thesis, a diploma project or an independent project. The event will end with a poster presentation. Each student will have a topic leader, who can be an international industrial partner or a university lecturer (BME, HU Utrecht, TU Dublin, Frederico II of Naples).

We are currently trying to assess the needs. BME's Erasmus office will give support if at least 15 BME students will participate in it. Please fill in the form below, which is not a formal application and does not commit you to any obligation: https://forms.gle/2DJjoFTUKKWW4vU89 . Please complete the form by the evening of 20 October at the latest.

We look forward to hearing from you!
